Chapel on South Road

The Chapel on South Road is a baroque building with level-ended prebysterium, prussian archs and the tower in the middle of the main facade. It was built within the years 1730 – 1733. The scene on a high altar of the Chapel with a motif of Descent of Holy Spirit is J. Mathauser’s work of art and was created in a year 1894. There were the Church of Holy Spirit and a Casualty Ward situated on its place in the Middle Ages. This building stood from the outer side from the city walls and it was demolished on the beginning of 18th century.
